Trust and forgiveness will help save a marriage

For most married couples, matching temperaments is more important than enjoying each other's sex, reveals a study by the International Institute for Psychosomatic Health.

This is reported by the Dr. Evin website.

70% men and women surveyed believe that matching temperaments is much more important than the length of intercourse or having an orgasm. At the same time, 20% couples feel perfectly happy in their relationship despite differences in sexual desires.

According to the survey, trust and forgiveness play an important role in preserving a marriage. Thus, 81% of respondents are sure that their spouse has not cheated. Meanwhile, 36% of them would prefer not to know about cheating. 19% of respondents are ready to forgive cheating to their second half.

The study involved 1,038 couples married from three to 50 years. Very often spouses break up for some silly reasons, simply not wanting to work on the relationship. The results of the study indicate that passion is not the main component of marriage. The main thing is personal values and understanding. Do not rush to tear up the relationship, you should always try to develop it first. Marriage is about shared interests, shared spiritual and social values.
