In China, a 59-year-old retired woman gave birth to twin daughters to get rid of loneliness and boredom, thus puzzling her loved ones.

A woman surnamed Wang has an adult son who is raising a daughter and visits her parents only once or twice a year. Without him, Wang and her husband suffered from loneliness. They felt that their house had become empty and lifeless, so they decided to revitalize it.
To do so, Wang underwent an in vitro fertilization procedure costing more than 100,000 yuan (1.3 million rubles), successfully became pregnant and gave birth to two healthy daughters.
The pensioner noted that she plans to raise the girls to be independent so that by the age of eight they will be able to manage household chores on their own. At the same time, she claims that she and her husband have saved enough money to support their children until they are 20 years old.
Chinese social media users condemned Wang for her decision to have children at an advanced age.
"Can a man in his 60s have enough energy to raise a small child? I doubt it," writes one person.
Some commentators said that in case Wang and her husband become seriously ill, it would be up to their son to take care of the twins.
