Some pads can provoke diseases of the female genitalia

Some pads can provoke diseases of the female genital sphere: for example, itching, burning, discharge and so on, so it is important to use pads wisely.

This is reported by the Dr. Evin website.

Daily pads are used in specific situations

  • The beginning period of menstruation or the end of menstruation.
  • When there is increased vaginal discharge, it is often in the middle of the menstrual cycle, that is, during ovulation.
  • After "quick" intercourse.
  • In some cases, when there is a urine leak.
  • Sometimes - during the period of treatment with vaginal suppositories.
  • During traveling or any other events when a woman needs to "be fresh" and there is no opportunity to take a hygienic shower or bath.

But it is the pads that can provoke diseases of the female genital sphere. They are applied to the underwear and tightly adhere to the body, depriving the skin of the opportunity to "breathe". A so-called greenhouse effect is created, and a number of pathogenic microbes, called "anaerobes", can actively develop and cause certain diseases.

It could be allergies

Sometimes pads do cause itching, burning, skin irritation and vaginal dryness. These are usually manifestations of an allergic reaction. It can be triggered by fragrances, dyes and synthetic materials used to make pads.

If such symptoms appear, it is necessary to temporarily give up daily and synthetic underwear. Usually the next day the unpleasant sensations disappear.

If the discomfort is very severe, you can take over-the-counter antihistamine drops or tablets and be sure to see a doctor.

The side effect is vaginosis or thrush

In all pads, the skin hardly breathes at all. In a moist environment, bacteria and fungi multiply particularly quickly. This can lead to bacterial vaginosis, vaginitis and vulvovaginal candidiasis (thrush). And the risk of such side effects of pads is higher in women who have already had any of these infections.

What to do if your pads start itching

Patients quite often complain of itching when using daily pads. In addition, it is often accompanied by more abundant than usual discharge from the genital tract. In such cases, it is necessary to temporarily eliminate the use of daily pads and replace them with simple gauze napkins of about 10 by 10 centimeters. Such wipes can be made independently from bandages or buy ready-made in the pharmacy and use them as pads. At the same time, underwear should be exclusively cotton, classic underwear models - in no case, not thongs, which also provoke itching.

It is also advisable to learn that one symptom of Alzheimer's disease only occurs in women.
