New drug found for female infertility caused by PCOS

Researchers at the University of Chicago have found a new drug for female infertility caused by polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

This is reported by the Dr. Evin website.

The results of the study were published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences. Polycystic ovary syndrome is an endocrine disorder that is difficult to treat due to multiple symptoms and often unclear causes of origin. The consequences of PCOS include disturbances in hormonal balance, fertility, and impaired general health.

Experts have now developed a therapeutic approach based on extracellular vesicles (EVs). These molecules have been derived from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), adult cells that can transform into many other cell types for regeneration.

As a result, such BBs reduced the activity of genes that contribute to the overproduction of androgenic hormones, a hallmark of SPKJ. In addition, the treatment helped stabilize high glucose levels in the mice. In the experiment, BBs were injected either into the blood vessels or directly into the ovaries of the mice, and in both cases they effectively restored ovarian function.

It is also advisable to learn that Scoliosis must be treated before pregnancy.
